What is split payment?

Split payment is a payment method that we use to make it easier for customers and takeaways to afford the delivery fee. When the delivery partner feature is enabled, the split payment feature is activated in the back end. This means that when an order is assigned to a delivery partner, the Client's fee is deducted through Datman immediately.

How does split payment work?

When you place an order on our website, you will only see the portion of the delivery fee that you need to pay. The delivery fee is calculated based on peak times, distance, and provider. This makes it easier for customers to afford the delivery fee and helps takeaways to increase their sales.

Why do we use split payment?

It is understandable the some of the rates maybe high therefore to address this issue, we propose splitting the cost of delivery between business owners and their customers, thereby reducing costs for both parties.
