Understanding The Delivery Charges

Understanding The Delivery Charges

Delivery providers typically charge a fixed fee for order fulfillment. However, we have observed that some of these fees may be considered excessive by online customers, potentially discouraging them from placing orders. To address this issue, we propose splitting the cost between business owners and their customers, thereby reducing costs for both parties.

For better understanding let's analyse one of the rates that Stuart charges in the table below.

Stuart Rates
DistanceEnd UserTakeawayTotal Delivery Fee
0 to 0.5 miles£1.90£3.00£4.90

If a customer places an order within 0.5 miles, Stuart would typically charge £4.90 for delivery. However, by sharing the cost, the business owner pays a fixed fee of £3, while the customer only pays £1.90. Please note that these rates represent the maximum amounts that can be charged to the end user.
